Kimbay Richardson Obituary

Kimbay Antoinette Richardson (Punkin), 38, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away on May 24, 2025, surrounded by love. Born on November 4, 1986, in Tifton, Georgia, Kimbay was raised in Columbus where she spent most of her life—a place she called home and where her vibrant spirit touched so many.

A devoted mother, proud grandmother, and loving sister, Kimbay’s life was rooted in family. She is survived by her beloved children: Aylaniah Richardson, Honestie Alexander Richardson, and A’Miracle Richardson, and is now reunited in peace with her late son, Kimaury Richardson. Her heart overflowed with love for her grandson, Noviaun Luke Jordan Thompson, who brought her immeasurable joy.

Kimbay leaves behind a close-knit circle of siblings who cherished her deeply: David (Peewee) Anderson Jr., Gailrie Lamb (Henry), Greta Richardson, Joshua Qualls, Tamicia Richardson, Diamond Lawson (Qualls), Samuel Richardson Jr., and Ashley Evans. She is preceded in death by her loving parents, Samuel Lee Richardson Sr. and Helen Jones Richardson, who undoubtedly welcomed her home with open arms.

Kimbay was known for her gift in caring for others, both professionally and personally. As a talented hairdresser and a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), she dedicated her life to helping others look and feel their best. Her nurturing nature extended far beyond her work—she was the “big sister” who always looked out for everyone, offering guidance, protection, and unconditional love.

Her soul found peace in music, joy in singing, and strength in her faith. Whether she was lifting spirits with a song, worshipping in church, or simply laughing with her family, Kimbay’s light shone brightly in every space she entered.

Her memory lives on in the hearts of all who knew her, loved her, and were lucky enough to be loved by her. Kimbay’s legacy is one of strength, warmth, devotion, and a love that will never fade.
