King Rueben Rahquan Broomfield (Ronald) was born January 28, 1953, to late J.D. and Irista Broomfield in Columbus, Ohio. He departed His life and gained his wings on the morning of June 19, 2021.
He was preceded in death by sisters, Katherine Banks and Lorraine Ross; brothers, Joe, Archie Lee, Ernest, twin brother Donald, James, J.C. and Carl.
King was educated by the Columbus Public School system. He went on at attend technical school, then later on become an electrician. He moved to New York City, where he met the mother of his children Mary Thomas. His love for his family made King decide to return to his hometown Columbus, Ohio.
King was a very artistic individual. He loved painting and sculpting. He played many instruments. You could have caught him at Skully’s weekly performing his talents. He was known around Columbus for his unique top hat.
King was a man of honor and respect who always loved and supported his family. He was loved and cherished by many, especially his kids and grandchildren.
He leaves to cherish his memories and celebrate his life: daughter, Talibah Thomas; sons, Rayquan and Rahquan Broomfield; sister, Betty (Raymond) Lewis; brothers, Lonnie (Priscilla), David, and Robert (Rosalind); his grandchildren, Sai ‘Mya, La’nique, Ta’caira, De’Juan, Rayquan Jr, Myshawn, Tristen, and Zoella; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends to celebrate his life.
