LaTisha Fambro Obituary

LATISHA RASHAE FAMBRO was born on December 8, 1977, to LaTonia Marie Curtis and Darryl Crockett in Dayton, Ohio. She departed from us and gained her wings on December 16, 2024.

LaTisha’s journey began at Crestview Middle School, where her love for sports ignited. She continued to excel at Brookhaven High School, where she shone brightly in both basketball and track and field. In her senior year, she led her team to victory, winning the girls’ basketball state championship in 1996. Her remarkable talent earned her a full scholarship to Central Michigan University, where she further pursued her passion for basketball.

LaTisha was preceded in death by her father, Darryl Crockett; her grandfather, Joe Broomfield, Sr.; grandmother, Joann Broomfield; and uncles, Lamont Broomfield, Kevin Fambro, Joe Broomfield, Jr., and Russell Broomfield. She was full of life—fun, loving, happy, and loud. LaTisha possessed a deep love for her family and was always ready to lend a helping hand, brightening the days of those around her with her infectious laughter. Her presence left a lasting impression on everyone she encountered, effortlessly lifting spirits wherever she went. LaTisha’s contributions tothe lives  of her loved ones were immeasurable; if you knew her, you loved her, and in return, she loved deeply.

She leaves behind cherished memories with: her grandmother, Beverly Baskin; mother, LaTonia Curtis; sisters, LaTina Fambro and TaWuanna (Robert) Parks; brother, Craig Anthony Curtis II; numerous nieces and nephews, including LaTaliyah, LaTee, LaTajah, LaTara, LaTyra, LaTaniyah, Tamara, and JaLana; nephew, Anthony; great neice, Peyton; great-nephews, Paxton and Princeton; aunt, Latoya Louis- Fletcher; special cousins, DeKevin Louis; special friend,

Katrina Curry; and her beloved son, Darkell Curry. LaTisha RaShae Fambro’s legacy will forever remain in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her.
