LaToya was preceded in death by: her mother, Rosemary Carpenter, grandfather, Douglas Fowlkes, nephew, Kesean Broomfield, and brother-in-law, Lamont Broomfield, Sr.
LaToya was a graduate of South High School. Toya was full of life. You could always find her interacting with the kids’ activities at any family function. Her energy and playfulness were infectious to anyone who crossed her path.
LaToya loved life and her family. A very loyal mother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, niece, and friend, she did not play when it came to ANY of them. Such a beautiful person, with a soul and life to match, taken away too soon from her family and friends.
LaToya leaves to cherish her memory: her daughters, Sequoya Carpenter, Eshanti Milton, and Rose Carpenter; her fathers, Jesse Hunter and Larry Fowlkes; grandmothers, Mozelle Fowlkes and Warnetta McAfee; her sisters, Danyelle Carpenter, LaKisha Carpenter, Krysta (Damon) Pearson, and Maria (Natasha) Littlejohn; brothers, Larry Littlejohn and Richard Carpenter, Jr.; her boyfriend, Perez Williams; special friends, Tonya Milton-Sharp and Earl Milton; best friend/cousin, Robert Carpenter; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Toya was a VERY, VERY proud g-aunty to La’Miyah Broomfield and Daylon Davie.
