Lenora J. Ash was born April 24, 1936, in Carlisle, South Carolina, to Walker Sr. and Nancy Ann Johnson. She was their second of nine children.
She attended Union County Schools and graduated from Sims High School in 1954. Soon after graduation, she married Randolphus Jeter and moved to Columbus, Ohio. To this union, they had one daughter.
Lenora accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior at a young age and was a faithful member of Mt. Vernon AME Church in Columbus, Ohio, until her illness.
Lenora was employed with Mt. Carmel West and retired after 42 years as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
In 1967, she married Nathan Ash, and the two remained together until his illness and passing in 2002.
Lenora always greeted you with a smile and those deep dimples, was fun-loving, loved to laugh until crying, and was known for her quick-witted sayings. She enjoyed cooking southern comfort classic foods and listening to soulful and gospel quartet music.
