Lester Samuel Jackson

Obituary Lester S. Jackson, affectionately known as LS, passed away on January 22, 2025. Lester accepted Christ at an early age. He worked for years at the local paper mill in Bogalusa, Louisiana, from which he later retired. Lester was a New Orleans Saints fan and he loved his Cadillac cars.

He was preceded in death by parents, Earnest Jackson and Tommie Lee Peters Wilbert; wife, Jackie Faye Jackson; daughter, LaTanya Johnson; and brother, Louis Bond Jackson.

Lester is survived by: daughter, Belinda L. Cardwell; brother, Columbus L. Peters; grandchildren, Alana Johnson, Alton Johnson, Kyaunna Cardwell, Leandra Cardwell, and Robert (Lesli) Jackson; and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
