Deaconess Lila Shantae Michelle Randall David age 34, was born May 7, 1986 in Columbus, Ohio. She was called to her Heavenly Home on October 23, 2020 at Riverside Methodist Hospital.
She graduated from Northland High School in Columbus in 2004. She went on to continue her education at Bohecker College graduating with honors as a Medical Assistant in 2008.
She was a member of St. John Baptist Church since she was a toddler. She was ordained as a Deaconess in 2002. Shantae was the Choir Director of the St. John Youth Choir and Children’s Mime Ministry, she enjoyed teaching the children. Her favorite song was “Cooling Water”. She loved acting and her inspired stage name was “Lanae Heart”.
She met and married her husband Jaj-Mar in 2008. She was loving, funny, sincere, and caring, always willing to help anyone who was in need. She was employed at Chase Bank until her health failed and she was no longer able to work.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Debra Michelle Thrasher; father, James Lumpkin; grandmother, Hazel Marie Moore; great-grandmother, Lila Bailey and her uncle, Michael Randall. They are now all rejoicing together.
She is survived by her loving husband, Jaj-Mar David Sr., son, Jajmar “Fatman” Thomas David, Jr., brothers, Michael Fitzgerald, Marcus (Erica) Fitzgerald; sisters, Suzie Lumpkin and Tiesha “Sista Cakes” (Marquis) Green; aunts, Sheila (Melvin) Pack, Kimberly Towns of Douglasville, GA, cousins, Jalecia (Diez) Johnson, Stephon Towns, Armani Towns, Devika Pack, Antoine Pack all of Columbus, Ohio; mother-in-law, Carrie (Greg) Wallace of Cleveland, Ohio.
