Louise Reid

Louise Reid, 81, of Columbus, OH, transitioned July 28, 2022, She was born in Mercer, TN, on April 23, 1941, to James and Mattie Bell Carroll.  Shortly after graduating West High School in Denmark, TN, Louise relocated to Columbus, OH, where she was a devoted worker at Heritage Village as a cook for many years and a caregiver at Comfort Keepers for five years.  In her years of living, Louise attended Pleasant Green Baptist Church and Ebenezer Baptist Church.

She was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend . She was loved by many and was always there to lend a helping hand. Louise was always on the go, and there’s not a person she knew that didn’t love her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Mattie Bell Carroll, sister, Augustine (John) Jacobs, brother, Rosevelt Carroll, and beloved nephew, Calvin Jacobs. Louise is survived by her daughter, Nashaun Reid of Pickerington, OH; grandchildren, Amani Sims, Azaria Sims, and Darius Sims; sisters, Rebecca (Hymes) Greer of Cols, OH, Neveda Tatum of Cols, OH, Bernice (Lawrence) Williamson of Jackson, TN, Elizabeth (Amos) Batchelor of Jackson, TN, and Shirley (Willie) Hines of Brownville, TN; brothers, Odell (Ella) Carroll of Galloway, OH, James
(Eva) Carroll and Billy Jo Carroll, both of Jackson, TN; special son, Alonzo Sims; and a host of nieces and nephews.
