Mr. Luther Eugene Jones, age 73, was born on May 15, 1949 in Rome, Georgia. He was one of two sons born to Corrine Lee and Luther Eugene Jones, Sr. He was called home by the Lord on Saturday, September 3, 2022. He was affectionately known as “Babe Bruh.” He liked playing cards. Spades was what he enjoyed the most, and he was even good at playing Bid Wiz. He was an avid fisherman and he used to spend a lot of time fishing. He enjoyed the solitude of the water and catching fish. He possessed a great sense of humor and was extremely funny. He was a gentleman, and his personality caused ladies to adore and love him. He could fix anything and would work on cars to get them in top notch repair. He would break the car down, and when he gave it back to you, it would be new. He did this from his late teen years up until he was no longer able to. Although he was raised in Detroit, Michigan, and Columbus, Ohio, when the rivalry came, he always sided with the Buckeyes and not the team up North. He would argue that they would beat Michigan and would gloat when they often won. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. He was a kind person and would give you the shirt off of his back if you needed it. He was a loving father and grandfather, and he will forever be held in the hearts of those that loved and knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther Eugene Jones, Sr., and Corrine Lee; brother, Paul Jones; sister, Nina Fay; and grandson, Juan “Lil Juan” Wills, Jr.
He leaves to cherish his memory and carry on his legacy: sons, Luther Wills, Juan Wills, Sr., Antonio (Hazel Princess) Neal, Shawn Hope, Jimmie Hope, Pamon Clarkson, Ramon Jones, and Damon Jones; 60 grandchildren; a host of great-grandchildren; brother, Preston Lee; sister, Jacquelyn “Jackie” Lee; best friends, Kenny Hill, Eddie Cotton, Seway Cotton, Joslyn Cotton, Randy, Darwyn and Joe; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
