Mamie Jones

Mamie Lee (Williamson) Jones, age 87 passed on November 15, 2020.  Mamie was born April 22, 1933 to the late Strather Williamson and Sallie (Frye) Williamson in Lower Peach Tree, AL.  

Mamie made Columbus, Ohio her home in 1963.  She retired from The Ohio State University Hospital as Catering Manager and was a former member of Cupidettes Club Columbus Chapter and the Eastern Star. Mamie loved to cook and was active in her church and club functions. She loved to dance and travel, staying with family and went on many cruises.  She was compassionate, devoted to and beloved by family and friends.

Mamie was preceded in death by son Sylvester Williamson.

Survived by daughters, Geraldine(Emmet Jr-Deceased)Evans of Leesburg, FL, Bettie (Mark) Mathews of Columbus, OH; granddaughters Chenise Ballenger Crump of Durham, NC, Christel Mervin of Houston, TX,  Che Che (Michael) Davis of Detroit, MI; grandson Mark Mathews Jr. of Columbus, OH; great-grandsons  Darius Crump of Cincinnati, OH, Kendell Crump & Evan Crump of Raleigh, NC and Michael Davis Jr of Detroit; great-great-grandsons Kamdyn Crump and Keelyn Crump of  Cincinnati, OH, a host of loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and many special friends.
