Marcus Gunn

Marcus Jerome Gunn, was born on September 24, 1992, at Euclid General Hospital in Euclid, Ohio, the youngest child of Michael and Madonna Gunn. On Monday, September 1, 2025, this loving son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend passed away unexpectedly at the age of 32. A graduate of Columbus Africentric Early College High School, Marcus attended Columbus State Community College before relocating to San Antonio,Texas. After exploring many opportunities from San Antonio to Houston, Marcus decided to return to his hometown of Columbus, Ohio.

Marcus was a devoted family member as well as a caring, supportive friend. He loved children, traveling, cooking, and spending time with family. He was a die-hard Buckeye fan who loved to joke and tease with a sarcasm that was always full of love and laughter. His career journey was as diverse as his personality, taking on countless roles while simultaneously searching for new adventures.

Marcus was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Jesse and Arletha Gunn; as well as his maternal grandparents, Hubert Barnett, Sr., and Delores Brown.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his parents; brother, Michael (Demetrias) Gunn; sister, Dominique (Andre) Shannon; and a host of cousins, other family members, and friends.
