Marsha Bailey

Obituary Marsha Ann Bailey, age 78, gained her wings on November 7, 2025 with her eldest granddaughter at her  bedside.  She was born on February 8, 1947 to Lessel And rose Bailey
in Manhattan NY, raised in Bronx, New York, with her last resting place in Columbus OH.  Marsha graduated from High School of Fashion Industries in June of 1964 and pursued her seamstress abilities within the home setting. Her passion for teaching led her to the completion of her Bachelor of Arts from the College of New Rochelle, graduating summa cum Laude on May 26 1985, whereas her career path was a teacher in various public schools as well as Job Corp. Already being the best cook, she was a self-taught professional baker and word of mouth led to an influx of requests for her food and her baked goods. 

She is survived by her sister Joan Williams. Her children Josanna (Antone), Shevette, Tyrone, Rodney (Gwen); Bonus children Michele (Robert) and Lachelle. Grandchildren Shakeisha (Nashon), Grady (Jasmine), Whitney, Curtis, Knicole (Branden), Britney, Rashiid (Kelly), Crystina, Sayyid, Brianna; Bonus grandchildren Ashley, Dyoni, Steve, and Angelica. Along with 16 great grandchildren, nephews Lateef and Jihad, her good friend over 40 years Miss Dolly Adams, and the Ennett and Atchison family.

She was preceded in death by her parents Lessel and Rose Bailey and her bonus child Jennifer.

Marsha was the cornerstone of our family, a source of endless love and strength. She was “grandma” to everyone. Always giving, providing comfort, a listening ear, humble advice, and never passing judgment. She will be remembered for her quiet wisdom and her nurturing spirit.
