Marshall Dobson Obituary

Obituary Marshall Michael Maurice Dobson was the son of Louise and Thomas Marshall Dobson, born on October 15, 1950, in St. Louis, Missouri.  He was a witty, fearless, and sarcastic man, who never met a stranger and known to his loved ones as Mike or Michael.

Mike graduated from high school in 1968. He majored in biology at Lincoln University in Jefferson City, Missouri, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in biology, and married Pamela Sue Robinson on August 18, 1972.

Prior to graduation Michael accepted a management position with Carnation Company (Jacksonville, Illinois). His work ethic quickly advanced him to opportunities with Purina Chow (Harrisburg, Pennsylvania), Miller’s Brewery (Oswego, New York) before settling with Anheuser Busch (Baldwinsville, New York), where he and Pam lived for 20 years and raised their two children, Marcus, and Nicole, in Liverpool, New York. Mike completed his professional career with Coor’s Company (New Jersey) during 2003 and relocated to Columbus, Ohio, where he spent the remainder of his years surrounded by grandchildren.

He was a man with a strong work ethic who enjoyed cycling, skiing, reading science fiction, and survival books. He was an avid collector of guns and weapons of all types.

Marshall was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Marshall, and Louise Dobson, and sister, Dorothy Louise Dobson.

He is survived by wife, Pamela (Ohio), son, Marcus/Felicia (Ohio), daughter Nicole Dobson-Moore/Phillip (California), nieces, Sheree Dobson, and Tiffany Dobson (New York); nephew, Christopher Dobson (New York), and brother, Thomas Dobson/Miriam (Illinois), nephews and niece, Thomas, Christopher, David Dobson, and Stephanie Harper; grandchildren, Chavez Campbell (Florida) Mychal Pearson (Ohio), Feliciana Dobson, Marciana Dobson, and Analisa Dobson (Ohio), Anglette Moore and Robbie Moore (California); and three great-grandchildren, Amya Wilson, Marcus Springs Jr., and Jayce Campbell; and a host extended family in Missouri, Illinois, and California.
