Martin Hall

Martin LeMounte Hall was born to Deborah D. Hall and to the late Martin L. Smith on November 19, 1977, in Columbus, Ohio. On August 1, 2021, Martin’s earthly life came to an end for eternal life with our Lord and Savior. 

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Carleton Hall, Sr., and Geraldine Wooten, and his paternal grandparents, Paul Smith, Sr., and Katherine Martin.

As a teenager, Martin gave his life to the Lord and was baptized at Jordan Baptist Church in Columbus, Ohio. There he was a member of the young adult choir. He was employed with Home Depot, Columbus, Ohio. He attended Champion Middle School and East High School in Columbus, Ohio.

Martin enjoyed bowling and taekwondo. He was a very social person who loved family gatherings and socializing with his friends. If you grew up on the “Eastside” you would fondly had known him as “Marty Mar.” 

Martin had a good heart and a smile that would light up the room and put a smile on your face.

He is survived by: his mother, Deborah Hall; sister, Martina Johnson (Sarvone); stepsister, Ashley Smith; stepbrothers, Brandon and Brian Wilkins; Fiancé, Kiersten Fluellen; his children, Jordan Thompson, Shamara Hall, Shania Hall, Martez Hall, Sarah Hall, Kingston Hall, and Levi Hall; nephew, Sarvone Johnson III; aunts, Cindy, Letha, Tamaria; uncles, Herb and Carlton all of Columbus, Ohio; a host of cousins and friends; the “crew,” Rick, Tyrell, Joe, and Shawn; and life-brother Qaiyyam.
