Mary Catherine Chesser Green

Mary Catherine Chesser Green was born Friday December 13, 1940 in Columbus, Ohio and departed Monday May 27, 2024. Her parents Jennie Blanche Wiggins and Raymond Chesser, sister Shirley Chesser, and beloved husband Earl Green preceded her in death. Her children Jennifer Green and Daniel Green Kienitz (Sarah) and granddaughters Harper and Mia remain to cherish her vibrant memory. Graveside service at Sunset Cemetery on Tuesday June 4, 2024 at 10:00 A.M. Mary grew up active in the Christian church and always found comfort in her faith. She spent 18 years working in television broadcasting, initially as an assistant, then as traffic operations manager. As mom, she made sure we could swim, ride, play sports, and make music, and sometimes kept us up at night playing “The Phantom of the Opera” on piano. Gregarious, emotional, zany, and devoted, she enriched our lives immeasurably. “Light and shadow by turns, but love always.” In lieu of flowers, you may honor Mary’s love for animals and music by donating to Storm’s Angels Rescue and The Columbus Symphony.
