Mary Louise Coles

Sister Mary Louise Coles, +8c/75, departed this life on July 6, 2026. She was born on February 3, 1950, in Earling, West Virginia, to the late Willie and Stella Coles. Mary was one of a set of twins.

She was preceded in death by her loving parents; her sisters, Willie Mae Coles Lewis, Dorothy Lamore Sharp, and Shirlene Hester Caldwell; and her brothers, Eddie Lee Coles and Robert Eugene Coles.

She leaves to cherish her memory her beloved twin sister, Martha Coles; her sisters, Patricia (Robert) Taylor and Nila Coles; her brothers, James "J.C." Coles, Stevie Coles, and Kenneth Ray Coles; along with a host of loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

Mary attended Man High School and later participated in the Goodwill Adult Facility for more than 30 years. She was also a dedicated employee of Kroger, where she faithfully worked for 20 years until her retirement. Mary made history as the first employee with a disability to be honored with a retirement celebration, a testament to the love and respect she earned from her coworkers. Her retirement was such a special occasion that the General Manager traveled from Cincinnati to celebrate with her.

Mary was a devoted woman of faith. She was a longtime member of Elizer Church of Christ under the leadership of the late Bishop Sanford Dunlap. She later united with Deliverance C.O.G.A., Inc., where she served faithfully until her health began to decline.

She was an active participant in Sunday School and found great joy in singing in the church choir.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Westerville Post Acute for the exceptional care, compassion, and kindness shown to Mary and her family during her time there.

Mary's gentle spirit, unwavering faith, warm smile, and love for her family and church will forever be cherished. Though she is no longer with us in body, her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
