Michael Leroy Robinson, Sr., lovingly known as “Mickey” and “Big Mike,” passed away on March 23, 2026. Born on May 10, 1953, in Canton, Ohio, Michael lived a life marked by resilience, quiet strength, and deep love for his family. A proud graduate of Canton McKinley Senior High School, Michael went on to earn his associate degree from The Ohio State University. He carried his Buckeye pride with him throughout his life.
Michael had a warm and recognizable presence often seen in his signature plaid shirts and was known for his easy-going nature, infectious laughter, and playful spirit. A true jokester, he loved to make others laugh and brought joy to those around him. He valued family above all and built lasting connections with everyone he encountered.
Michael was preceded in death by his beloved grandparents, Leona Jones and Jesse Jones; parents, Leroy Robinson and Elizabeth Mackey; sister, Cecilia “CICI” Robinson; brother, Ronald Roberson, and the mother of his children, Fazanta Robinson.
He leaves to cherish his precious memory: his loving children, His Daughter, Darshini (Antonio) Robinson and his Son, Michael L. Robinson, Jr.; devoted sisters, Sandra Jones, Peggy Earley,
Jacqueline (Ricky) Thomas, and Freda Wallace; brother, Ricky (Deborah) Robinson; and his adored grandchildren, Tabias Robinson, Genesis Robinson, DaKhari Robinson, and Antonio
Wilson, Jr. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends. Among those who held a special place in his heart are his cherished friend, Shirley
Bryant, and his loyal companion, Mr. Wiggy.
Michael’s legacy lives on in the laughter he shared, the love he gave, and the memories his family will hold close forever.
