Mone’t Elizabeth Person, affectionally known as “Pug” was born November 22, 1987, in Columbus, Ohio to Tiffany Person and Curtis Berger. At a young age, Mone’t found her faith in God and attended Meredith Temple Church of God in Christ, under Pastor Hezekiah Meredith. Growing up, Mone’t always lived a fearless life as a child and even as an adult. She lived life to the fullest and challenged stereotypes of what was expected. Mone’t was one of the first girls to play little league football.
As an adult, Mone’t loved taking care of others, whether it was her children, her siblings, or other family members and friends. Mone’t cared about and showed love to people. Her love of other people led to her choosing a career in the healthcare as an aide and dedicated her life to taking care of those who needed her help.
On August 13, 2021, the voice of God unexpectedly called Mone’t home at the age of 33. We question His timing, but trust in His will. At Heaven’s gates, Mone’t was instantly greeted by her great-grandmother, Annie Fleshman, grandmothers, Beatrice Elizabeth Person and Sandra Joann Berger, uncle, Henry Person, and her cousin who was more like a brother, Marcus J. Person.
Her memory and legacy will live on in the lives of her sons, Georvon, Georgio, and Geordan Craft ; her only daughter, Geornae Craft ; her mother, Tiffany A. Person; father, Curtis L. Berger; siblings, Indica Berger, Nicko and Shantica Person, Faith Pendleton, and Keista Wellington; sister-cousins, Ashley Pendleton and Ebony Dunnagan; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Until we meet again...
