Oscionnah Prim Obituary

Some lives are measured by years, while others are measured by the love they leave behind. Oscionnah Prim was one of those extraordinary souls whose joy filled every room, whose compassion touched countless lives, and whose laughter became a treasured memory to all who knew her.  Though her journey on earth ended unexpectedly and far too soon, her beautiful spirit and lasting impact will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved her.

Born on May 4, 1997, to Eleni Haynes and Donald Prim Jr., Oscionnah entered the world as a bright light and remained one throughout her life.  She possessed a rare gift for connecting with people and truly never met a stranger. Whether meeting someone for the first time or reconnecting with an old friend, she had an extraordinary ability to make others feel seen, valued, and welcomed. Her warm smile, vibrant personality, and generous heart made her the center of joy wherever she went.

Oscionnah's greatest passion was caring for and nurturing children. What began as a love for working with young people during her high school years blossomed into a lifelong calling. She dedicated her career to early childhood education, believing every child deserved love, encouragement, and the opportunity to thrive. Her devotion to this mission led her to earn an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education from Columbus State Community College, equipping her to make an even greater impact on the lives of children and their families.

To know Oscionnah was to experience unconditional love, unwavering loyalty, and genuine kindness. She celebrated the achievements of others, offered comfort in times of need, and brought people together with a spirit of joy and inclusion. Her servant's heart extended beyond her profession, as she generously volunteered with several local organizations, always seeking ways to uplift and support her community.

The legacy Oscionnah leaves behind is reflected not only in the many children whose lives she helped shape but also in the family members, friends, colleagues, and loved ones who were forever changed by her compassion and love. Her memory will remain a guiding light, reminding us of all to live with kindness, purpose, and an open heart.

Oscionnah leaves to cherish her precious memory: her father, Donald Prim Jr. (Alayna); her mother, Eleni Haynes; her brother, Ian; her grandmothers, Elaine, Mildred Holbert and Linda Prim; her uncles, Tyrone and Ritchie; her aunts, Marissa and Theresa; and a host of beloved relatives, friends, and loved ones who will miss her deeply.

She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Donald Prim Sr. and Oscar Haynes Jr.

The family extends its heartfelt gratitude for every prayer, expression of love, and act of kindness shown during this difficult time. Your support, compassion, and remembrance of Oscionnah have brought comfort and strength as they navigate this profound loss.

Though her time with us was brief, the love she shared was immeasurable. Oscionnah's light will continue to shine through the lives she touched, and her memory will be cherished forever.
