Obituary Patrice Elizabeth Kent was born on March 19, 1958, in Columbus, Ohio, to Betty Kent. Patrice graduated from Brookhaven High School in 1976. She went on to further her education and became a Licensed Practical Nurse. Patrice, also known as "Patty," landed a job as a nurse for the state of Ohio prison system until she retired.
Patty was known best for her stylish wardrobe and love of jewelry and travel. She traveled all over the United States and was fortunate to travel out of the country on several occasions. Although Patty had no children of her own, she had a love and passion for children. She enjoyed spending quality time with her nieces and nephews and their friends. Patty was highly instrumental in intellectual stimulation of young children at different schools. There, she aided in the reading and spelling development of children which helped them move to the front of the class, where they remained.
Patrice was preceded in death by her grandmother, Eva Kent; mother, Betty Kent; sister, Donna Woods; and great-niece, Leandra Kent.
Those left to cherish her memory: her brother, Russell (Allison) Kent; nephews, Jarred “Jerry” (Shirlana) Kent, Anthony Woods, Kawan Woods, and Travis Kent; nieces,
Tarra Kent, Josia Kent, and Erica Kent; best friend, Adrienne Webber; friend, Beverly Sylla; and a host of great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, other family, and friends.
