Ronald Ridley took his rest June 27, 2025.
He was born August 13, 1951, in Dayton, Ohio, at Miami Valley Hospital and graduated from Springfield South High School. Ronald was a beloved DJ, preacher, singer, songwriter, and comedian. He sang with the Majoraires of Springfield, Ohio, the Daytonians, the Gospel Stars, and taught the fantastic Ridley’s Angels a number of quartet tunes and stage presence. He served with Pastors Bishop Sim Lee Henry, Pastor Larry Coleman, Pastor Jackie Robinson, Bishop Robert McGee, and a host of other pastors throughout Dayton and Springfield, Ohio. Ronald went on to pastor two churches, Unity Baptist Church and Refreshing Springs Holiness Church of Dayton, Ohio.
He is preceded in death by Harmon Ridley, Lois Bryant Ridley, and wife, Brenda Joyce Edwards Ridley.
He is survived by his cherished children, Rhonda (Terrell Ruffin), Cherry Ridley, Tiffany Ridley, Ronald Ridley, Jr., Sherladda. Baker, Keisha Jordan, Derrick Ridley, and bonus children; one sister, Elaine (Edward) Cooley; one brother, James Ridley; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends; as well as special friends/family, Ronald Hoard, Howard Black,
Vincent Irvin, Sr., Pete Graves, and The Gospel Stars.
