Rosanna (Rice) Palmer, age 89, passed peacefully on February 3 ,2021. She was born August 29, 1931 in Spartanburg, South Carolina to Jesse and Janie Rice. She married the love of her life Harold A. Palmer, Sr., who preceded her in death 2013. From this union they had eight children. Harold A. Palmer, Jr. (Brenda) Carol A. Parron (Bernard), Sheryl A. Rosanna is preceded in death by her mother and father, sister Madeline Langford, Flori Barnes, and Edna Washington. She is survived by her brother Jesse Rice (Brie) and sister-in-law Shirley McDaniel (Joe) also a host of nieces and nephews. She leaves behind the following grandchildren: Mark C. Palmer (Pam), Tiffany Palmer, Harold A.Palmer, III,(Nancy) Matthew C. Palmer (Sharon), Jennifer Robinson, Mariama Burton, Ronald Saunders, II, Dione Dotson, Catrina Dotson, Mark Watts, Roseanna James, Haven James, Harvey Goff, Eric Harold Palmer, Wesley Lee Jones, Jr., Charles W. Reid, III, (Belinda) Stacey N. Hansel (Brian) David V. Hill, III, Leslie Maxine Hill, Carlton M. Palmer, Jr., Christiana Palmer Golden, Brittany A. Stitch, Crystal D. Stitch, Lois Jessica C. Chappell, Asley N. Palmer, Sarah A. Palmer and 29 great grandchildren. Every Child and grandchild had their own personal favorite time with their grandmother. Rosanna loved them with all her heart and soul.
Rosanna loved people never met a stranger, always greeted with a warm smile and a big hug and kiss. She loved to cook and love to see people eat her food.
Rosanna was a license Nursing Home Administrator, owned and operated Marietta Manor and Mt Pleasant Nursing Home.
Rosanna was avid bowler, tennis player, modern dancer, and an expert swimmer. She enjoyed anything outdoors especially with her children and grandchildren.
Rosanna was a member of the Fruit of the Spirit SDA Church. She cherishes and deeply loved her church family. She was extremely proud of the fact that her eldest son was her pastor.
One of her favorite Bible texts was Psalm 91:1, 2b “He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.” “My GOD; in Him I will trust.” Rosanna awaits the return of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and to be reunited with her loving husband, children and every one of her family members.
