Proverbs 3:5-6“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.”
Roshawn Antonio Laffette Hairston, better known as Tony, was born June 27, 1984, to Tina Hairston and Robert Davis in Columbus, Ohio. Roshawn was well known and loved by many for his loving energy and giving spirit. The epitome of a family-oriented person, there was nothing he took more pride in. Roshawn was a jack of all trades. He was well-supported by his friends and family until he was delivered to his savior on July 19, 2023.
Roshawn was a product of Columbus City Schools, and attended Sullivant Elementary School, Southmoor Middle School, and East High School. Roshawn completed his educational ventures at Earl C. Clemons Job Corps in Louisville, Kentucky, where he was certified in culinary arts as a cook and received his general education diploma. Roshawn was also very passionate about music and worked with multiple artists in the industry.
Roshawn was an active member of the community and often took part in neighborhood activities. He was an advocate for the homeless and spent many hours volunteering with and feeding them. The ultimate hustler, Roshawn was able to make a $1 out of 15 cents. If there was a job to be done he would master it, recreate it, and perfect it in a short period of time. Roshawn was the sole owner of his own catering and food business, “The Dice Shack”, which he named after his brother, Renato “Dice” Hairston. Roshawn’s love for children allowed him to foster great relationships with all the kids and babies in the family, and he was lovingly known as Uncle Tony to many of the kids that he encountered. Roshawn’s life can be imitated but never duplicated. He will be greatly missed by many.
Isaiah 41:10 “So, do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. The steadfast love of the
Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.”
