Roylene Elizabeth Gore

ROYLENE ELIZABETH GORE was born July 24, 1955, in Columbus, Ohio, to her loving parents, Roy Gore and Yvonna Gore. She grew up in Columbus, Ohio, and attended Columbus public city schools.

Roylene had four kids, three boys and one girl. Javon Lee Gore, Sr., passed away September 2, 2007. Her surviving children include Vernon Gore, Kuan Gore, and Aiasha, all of whom she loved very much.

Roylene had a passion for loving people and she especially adored her grandchildren. Roylene loved sharing her treasures. If you came to visit Roylene at her home, you would always leave with something she wanted you to have. Just a goodhearted person who loved to bring a smile to your face. Let’s not forget her flair of fashion, being the best dressed when going to different places with her kids or to family gatherings. Roylene enjoyed watching shows, shopping at thrift stores, and going to garage sales.

Roylene departed this life on Sunday, February 12, 2023, after a battle of health issues while surrounded by loved ones who will honor her memories by living their lives to the fullest.

Roylene was preceded in death by her father, Roy Gore; mother, Yvonna Gore; son, Javon Lee Gore, Sr.; grandparents, Jessie and Sarah Barfield; sisters, Linda Manns Stevens and Treva Manns; brothers, Richard Gore “Rip Dog” and Carnell Mack Manns, Jr.; uncles, Robert Barfield and Oliver Barfield “JB;” aunts, Mayetta Barfield; niece, Erin Hollaway; cousins, Raymond Barfield “Ray B.” and Michael Pryor; uncle, Bud (Hubert Carter), Fred Sullivan; and parents who raised Roylene, Juanita Vera Manns and Carnell Mack Manns, Sr.

Roylene leaves to cherish her memories: her sons, Vernon Gore and Kuan Gore; daughter, Aiasha Hough; sister, Tracy Manns; brother, Daniel Lee Gore (Debbie); grandkids, Javon Lee Gore, Jr., Jakiya Gore, Jaylan Gore, Jocelyn Gore, Jaslyn Gore, Jeremiah Walker, Enzo Gore, Ezre Gore, Alex Johnson, Anthony Johnson, Ameir Johnson, Armoni Johnson, Karter Lee Gore, and Aired Hodge; aunts, Margie Montgomery, Jenny Drinks (Charlse), Heather Tucker, Meka Hairston, and Gillian; sisters-in-law, Yvonne Kirk and Connie Kirk; special niece, Shericka Lewis; great-niece, Desiree Rose; special nephews, Miles Sullivant and Robey Lewis; and many other nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, extended Family & Friends.
