Rudolph “Rudy” Wayne Fluellen, age 67, peacefully departed this life on September 11, 2025. Born on May 5, 1958, he was the beloved son of the late Charles Bennett and Madelyn Russell. Rudy was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Pearl and Linton V. Stanson; his father, Charles Bennett; his mother, Madelyn Render-Russell; and his siblings, Roosevelt Fluellen Jr., Velora Cushenberry, and Priscilla Ann Fluellen.
He leaves to cherish his memory his siblings: Rosa Pearl F Fluellen, Ida Mae Fluellen, Damon Fluellen, Kevin Fluellen (Norleen Fluellen), Patricia and Jackie Smith; his sister-in-law, Thelma
Fluellen (wife of the late Roosevelt Fluellen Jr.); his special friends, Danny and Jean Jones; his special nephew, David (Gabrielle) Fluellen; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
Rudy was known for his humor, his love of the outdoors, and his ability to bring joy and laughter wherever he went. He had the gift of making people smile and could always be counted on to lift
the spirits of those around him.
Seeking a fresh start and a new beginning, Rudy moved to Georgia, where he later married Peggy Moore. During his working years, he was known for his strong hands and determined work ethic, building a career as an alarm systems installer and also as a flooring technician. In time, Rudy returned to Ohio and rejoined Bethlehem Temple Church of the Apostolic Faith. There, he served om the ministerial alliance, leading Monday evening prayer and contributing his time and energy to the church throughout the week.
Rudy was faithful. He was a brother. He was an uncle. He was a friend. Above all, he was a man of laughter and light who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
