Samuel Crawford, Jr., was born on January 17, 1952, in Columbus, Ohio, at Ohio State University to Samuel Sr. and Florence Crawford.
He attend the Columbus Public Schools and Atterbury Job Corps in Edinburgh, Indiana.
He worked for Rockwell International Corporation, Federal Glass, Buckeye Steel, Sears Warehouse, Columbus City Schools Transportation, Transportation Resources Inc., and he retired a er 25 years of service from the City of Columbus Refuse Department at 61 years old.
Sam enjoyed driving for miles and traveling all over by car or coach bus (professionally) to places such as Florida, Nevada, New York, Tennessee, Mississippi, Arizona, Georgia, Virginia, and other states in between.
He also enjoyed taking kids on church trips to basketball games, etc. He was also an avid Ohio State Buckeyes fan. He will truly be missed by his family and many friends.
Sam was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel Sr. and Florence Crawford, and brothers, Steven and Dale Crawford.
He leaves to cherish his memory, wife, Algenonorthia Crawford; son, DaLane (Tricia) Crawford, Chavez Jamison, Gregory Harris, Jr, Bonus son Kent Lucas; daughters, Therese Moreland and Treniece Taylor; God-daughter Erica McGriff ; sister, Elaine Crawford; grandchildren, Rashad, Shanae, LaNiqua, Kristopher, Chance, Tyrese, Tyre’K, Alayna, Dominic, DaLane II, Daysha, Dayshaun, LeeAnn, Riley, and Bonus grandson, Zanir Lucas; great grandchildren, Carter and Collin; nieces, Alexis and Joydeana Crawford; great-nephew, Ayden; and a host of cousins and many friends.
