Seana Amire Marie Slater was born on February 16, 2005, and went to be with the Lord on October 26, 2022. She is survived by both parents, her mother, Twilla Gabbert, and father, Shawn Slater, Sr.; four brothers, Jeremiah, Zabriel, Shawn Jr., and Sir; four sisters, Farrah, Danijah, Naomi, and Dominique; two nephews, Akio and Chase; two nieces, Zarrah and Aniyah; two grandmothers, Diana Bell (mom’s family) and Marva Washington (dad’s family); and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends, too many to list, who loved her and she loved back. Seana loved the Lord and believed in him. She accepted him as her Lord and Savior and was baptized at Heritage Baptist Church in Canal Winchester, Ohio, in 2014. Seana attended Westfall High School and participated on the track team there.
Seana was known for being so full of life. She loved life and lived hers to the fullest every day. She was beautiful, joyful, smart, kind, funny, fair, courageous, passionate, humble, loving, giving, outgoing, and very brave. She was not afraid to be unique and different or stand up for who she was and what she believed in. She took pride in who she was. We all admire her for simply being herself. She was always the funniest person in the room; there was never a dull moment with her. There was no limit on things she would do just to help someone else wear a smile. She loved her family and friends dearly. She enjoyed doing hair and always wanted to look her best. She loved music and to sing and dance and just be goofy all the time. I’m sure her mom, brothers and sisters will say she overdid it sometimes, but it was always with good intentions and they secretly loved it all. Seana was truly loved by all of her family and friends, and with such an awesome
personality, she was able to touch everyone in her own special way. Today we lay to rest a loving daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece, cousin, and friend. She has left such an impression on everybody and we all are forever thankful for that. We will celebrate her life and thank her for just being her as often as we think about her.
Seana, your wings were ready, but our hearts were not. You will be greatly missed and never forgotten!! We love you, always and forever!
