Sharon Renee Jennings-Ballew age 62 was born on January 13, 1962, to Barbara Jennings and Eugene Mack in Dayton, Ohio. Sharon attended Dayton Public Schools. Sharon was an amazing and superior mother, a remarkable daughter, a steadfast friend, and sister. Sharon was a friend to everyone she encountered. Sharon was raised and spiritually nurtured at McKinley United Methodist Church until she relocated to Columbus, Ohio where she was a member of Acts of Faith Community Church. Sharon always had a vivacious and unwavering devotion to those she loved and was addressed as “Auntie or Mom” to countless people. Whenever she was around anyone you knew that the laughter would soon follow. And the stories that she would enthrall us all with was like being at her own ONE-WOMAN Show.
Sharon had lots of interest, but her GREATEST PASSIONS were bingo and the casino where she was so very lucky. One thing that she would always say was, “scared money don’t get no money. “She was never at a loss for words and if you needed to get her personal opinion on anything you knew that you better have your seatbelt on because it may or may not be a bumpy ride. She was never shy about telling you the truth, even if it hurt. She always had her door wide open to those that needed somewhere to lay their heads never turning anyone away. She would feed you and cloth you because that’s the kind of heart that God blessed her with. She was always the life of the party and once the music got her going she was known to break it down all the way to the floor. She said that when everyone else was sleeping she was already on another plan to conquer the world.
On Friday May 3, 2024, Sharon transitioned from the mortal life into the merciful and loving arms of the Lord. Our loss is heavens gain.
