Steven Simpson II

Steven Keith Simpson II age 43, of Columbus, passed away Thursday September 16, 2021. Steven was the oldest of four children born to Steven Keith Simpson and Carolyn Kelly Simpson (Burrell). He was the first the grandson on either side of the family, and was immediately a favorite cousin, nephew, and friend. When Steven became a big brother, he was protective and supportive of his sibling always helping them and making sure they knew right from wrong. He was fun when fun was needed, he was strength when tears were flowing, and he was reason if we went too far. At a young age Steven acquired a taste for luxury and would commit himself to epicurean. Along the way he would stop to help people with their distress and his kindness toward people in need would eventually spark a passion for law. Steven was known for traveling and enjoying life to the fullest, his presence will be missed but his memory is a blessing.

He is preceded in death by his grandmothers, Effie Simpson and Elizabeth Burrell; Uncle Terry Simpson, and survived by his Parents, Steven Keith Simpson and Carolyn Kelly Simpson (Burrell); Sisters, Sashay Simpson-Mohammedi, Calesha Flores; Brother Lester Micheal Simpson; Aunts, Mary Lou Jones, Arnetta Asapokhai, Arvetta Simpson; Uncles, Arnold Floyd, Marshall Floyd. Nephew, Noah Flores; Nieces, Nia Gilmer, Nina Gilmer, Mila and Mackenzie Simpson, and many many cousins and friends.
