Tajshiana Shyam Strickland 'Mooka', daughter of Lashanta Dailey and Christopher Strickland, was born on Wednesday January 27,1999, in Columbus, Ohio.
Tajshiana was the eldest child with four siblings, Teandre , Tanyla, Tajshenay, and Tayana Strickland.
Tajshiana graduated from Treca Digital Academy, from there she went to Columbus State where she was a Psychology major. Tajshiana believed that everyone deserved to be helped and she wanted to work with the less fortunate. Her mom remembers the day Tajshiana realized her calling to be a Psychologist. Tajshiana sat with her mom and cried. She said that all people deserved to be taken care of no matter who you are.
Tajshiana Shyam Strickland received her wings on Sunday, October 21,2018 at the tender age of 19.
She is preceded in death by her grandmother Emma Workman, grandfather James Wallace, Aunts Marcialene Harden and Christina Workman. Uncles Vincent Strickland and Robert Workman.
Tajshiana is survived by her mother Lashanta Dailey, father Christopher Strickland, grandparents Eleanor and Billie Dailey, Anita and Mack Strickland.Aunts Quinasta Dailey( Lorenzo), Jovon Dailey (Wayne) and Billie Dailey, and a host of great Aunts, great Uncles, cousins, and cherished friends who loved her dearly.
Tajshiana was the true definition of an angel. She never met anyone that didn't adore and love her. She had a heart of gold and an contagious smile. Her smile would light up a room, brighten up your day and she was as sweet as can be. She had the most beautiful quiet voice and everyday her family would tease her and tell her to speak up, we can't hear you.
Tajshiana had a rough childhood. She fought and beat many battles with asthma. But through all of the pain and trouble breathing she kept a smile on her face and never gave up.
Tajshiana had a love for baking and drawing. She would sit and draw for hours. She had so much love for her family. She loved her family to the core. She would make sure she stayed in touch by calling and texting everyone to see how they were doing. She was also the epitome of a mothers girl and her mother was her best friend. She had a big heart and tried to take care of her mom and siblings. She was a role model to her younger siblings, family, and friends. Tajshiana was a loving daughter, sister, niece, cousin and friend who will be greatly missed.
