Tavionna Spencer Obituary

Tavionna Leigha Lashawna Spencer was born on March 24, 2000, to Robin Evans and Steven Spencer.

Tavionna loved everyone. She was a light to anyone she crossed paths with. Her smile was infectious. Tavionna accepted Christ at the young age of four. Tavionna absolutely loved the
Lord. She loved playing Yolanda Adams’s “Be Blessed” and Marvin Sapp’s “I Made It”. At age nine, Tavionna was diagnosed with a rare disease called Friedrich’s Ataxia, which ultimately
took her life. She was always worried about everyone else even until the end. Tavi was a joy to all. Her favorite holiday was the Fourth of July. She was fiesty and didn’t hide it; she told you
how she felt. Her and her favorite cousin, Shawn, were known as “Bonnie and Clyde”. Family was everything. She loved her godmommy, Lynette Evans. She adored her niece and nephew.

Tavionna attended Broadnleim Elementary, Champion Middle School, and graduated from Whitehall Yearling High School, where she walked across the stage with the help of her dad and uncle to get her diploma. She attended Columbus State for Business Administration where she was given an honorary diploma.

Tavi lovde life and those around her. She was full of life and lived every bit of it, until God told her, “My child, well done thou good and faithful servant.” Her life here on Earth was fulfilled and God was ready for her. Two days before her 24th birthday, God called her home. She will be deeply missed.

Tavionna was preceded in death by her great-grandparents; two uncles; two great-uncles; and grandparents, Amos Spencer and Ocila McCrary.

She is survived by: her parents, Robin (Andre) Evans and Steven Spencer; godmommy, Lynette Evans; sisters, Shanticia (Kevin Russell) Evans, Imani Spencer, Dominique Marsh, and Bria Seabright; grandparents, Brenda Evans, Michael Abbington; nephew, Rondell Taylor; niece, Ayanna Russell; special aunt, Damiesha Cox and Briana Abbington; special uncle, Jeron Cox and Thomas Evans; favorite cousin, DaShawn Evans; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

A very special thank you and appreciation to the entire H8A Staff; to her special nurse, Angie, she will always be your princess; and to Dr. Carrie, Kara Lisa, Melissa, Megan, Dr. Lucas, Dr. Nandi, Dr. Tsao, and the entire staff that took care of her.
