Terrilynn Buckner born to Harvey and Lasalle Jones on March 3rd, 1955, and departed this life on November 13th, 2024. Terri attended Columbus City School System, at South High School. She started her early career at Gold Circle. Then, she transitioned into her passion with the Childhood League Center, working with children with Disabilities. Terri loved making a difference in the community as she worked to enhance the life of adults with disabilities. She continued her passion of caring for people, as she opened up her home to foster care. She was a person who never ran from a challenge and always looked at the positive side of life.
Terri had a profound love for music and dance. She enjoyed spending time with family as she entertained them in her BOOM-BOOM Room; with spades, Bidriz, music and shooting pool. With Terri’s millionaire spirit, she enjoyed decorating and creating her own style of fashion. She loved riding in style and had a unique flare that everyone loved.
Terri was a loving and devoted mother, and the best mother her children could ask for. She worked hard to ensure they had everything they needed. Terri did an amazing job raising her children into strong, independent hard-working adults. Terri’s toolbox was all she needed to raise her children. She was her children’s biggest fan.
Her favorite pass time was being a MawMaw. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, who brough lots of laughter and joy as she was part of each of their milestones and growth. She was always there to give countless wisdom and support. All the people that Terri touched will always remember that their lives are greater because she was part of their world.
Terri preceded in death by her parents; Havery and Lasalle Jones, daughter Sonequea Buckner, brother Howard White, and nephew Clifton Houpe.
Terri leaves to cherish her memory; daughters Monique Jones, Shaniea Buckner and Shawntaa McEntire(Alex) , sons; Makel Buckner, Marcus Buckner; grandchildren; Dazhane, TreQuan, Iyonna, Jay’len and MarQuice. Great grandchildren, Siblings Harold White, William White, Joann White, Vinzella Jones, David Jones, Dennis Jones, Rodney Jones, Sabrina Jones, Timothy Jones, Estella Jones and Victoria Jones and nieces and nephews.
