Terrell Moon

TERRELL DESALE MOON was born June 5, 1988, in Columbus, Ohio, to Julia Mix-Moon and Bennie R. Moon. A native of the South Linden neighborhood in Columbus, Terrell was the life of the party. “Rell” as family and friends often called him, could always be found at the local park shooting hoops with his friends and family, swimming, skating, or learning new dances. Terrell attended Hamilton Elementary, Linmoor Middle, Linden McKinley, and Mifflin High School.  While growing up, Rell took pride in raising and training his dogs. He was also an inspiring rapper and had a collection of songs and videos. Terrell accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and savior at a young age while attending Union Grove Baptist Church, while there, he was an altar boy.

Terrell Desale Moon, transcended from earth to glory, Sunday, January 5, 2025. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Robert Mix; paternal grandparents, Earnest and Roberta Moon; and maternal uncle, Dr. Kim Mix.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his two beautiful daughters, Lyric Alexander and Neriah Moon; mother, Julia Mix-Moon; father, Bennie R. Moon; grandmother, Thelma B. Mix; sisters,
Saleathia Moon, Chaketa, and Marie Hargrove; brothers, Omar Hargrove, Dante Kareem, and Karreem Moon; uncles, Royce (Michelle) Mix, Marvin Mix, Michael Mix, Daniel (Marva) Moon, Willie (Adnette) Moon, and Debra Moon; favorite cousins, Erica S. Mix, Ashley R. McClelland, and Jaevon Johnson; favorite nephews, Tyvon and Jovonnie Moon; several nieces and nephews; and a host of family and friends.

Terrell inspired all of us to live life to the fullest, shoot for the stars, and capture every moment.
