Tina Marie Benton

Tina Marie Benton, age 61, departed this life on earth to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Friday, August 8, 2025. She was born in Columbus, Ohio on May 24,1964 and received her formal education in the Columbus City schools. Tina worked at Easton Healthcare Agency for over 14 years before retiring due to illness.  At the age of 9 Tina accepted Christ at Grace Baptist Church alongside her grandmother, Fannie Mae Benton. She relied on prayer throughout her life and on April 14, 2024, led by her Uncle Jimmy, she rededicated her life back to Christ.

As a child she was very energetic and spoke her mind. Tina enjoyed cooking from scratch, dancing, listening to good music, and playing cards with her family. Later in life, she enjoyed playing the lottery, watching movies and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her son, Larry Benton-Rode, grandson Michael Woods Jr., Mother, Louise Marie Benton, and brother Ray James Benton.

Tina is survived by her sons; Terrance and Deshawn Benton-Rode; daughters: Tia, Tanisha, Tashawna and LaTonya Benton; grandsons: Elijah Cherry and Jayce Benton; granddaughters: Shayiona Woods, Shania Ross, Makyah Woods, Journi Benton-Edwards, Lalya Rode, and Jayciona Benton; Uncle Jimmy (Patricia), Aunt Shirley Benton; beloved companions, Ricky Birdsong, Wayne Morton and Deborah Riley along with a host of family and friends.
