Todd Payne

Todd Emmons Payne, 59, passed away on Monday May 11, 2020 from complications of diabetes and strokes.

Todd was born in Columbus, Ohio and graduated from East High School and Ball State University, where he played football (for both schools).Todd was always an excellent student. Todd was a proud member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.

Todd was an avid sports fan and really enjoyed watching MAC Sports. He was also a people watcher and he was a great people person and really he did not know a stranger. Todd always saw his glass as half full, even though his last years were full of hardship and sickness; when his speech became impaired and it became very difficult for him to walk he never complained he just kept pushing on. Todd had just finished a training program with Ohio Jobs and Family Services where he would be working one or two days a week and he was just so happy. He was really tired that evening before he went into a coma he went to be with our parents now. He is running and talking and making friends. 

Todd's family was blessed to have him and he will be truly missed. Todd accepted and got to know Jesus Christ through Life Church at Easton under the leadership of Pastor Chuck Noel .

Todd is survived by his loving brother and sister, Kevin Viney and Lynne (Ken) Broussard; niece, Alexandra Broussard (Jeff) Price; nephew, Kevin Viney Jr.; cousins, Kathy, Debi and Mark Anthony Moore; lifelong friends, Eric Glenn, Granville Waiters, Steve Francis, Kevin Gray, Duvall Dunn; his Ball State Kappa Brothers and many more friends.

Todd was preceded by his parents, Millie Payne and Erwin Charles Payne; his grandparents, Jettie Hooper, Emmons and Olive Payne .
