Todne Williams

Todne was born on May 25, 1970, in Peoria, Illinois, to Johnnie Miller and George Alexander.

At an early age, she was baptized at Morning Star Baptist Church in her hometown, Peoria, Illinois, where she confessed her love and received salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. She
attended Trewyn Elementary School in her younger years, where she was a member of Trewyn’s basketball team, the orchestra team, and played the violin. She also was in the Prep Club. After
relocating to Columbus, Ohio, she attended Eastmoor High School, “Class of 1989.”

Todne was married and later became widowed, and from that point, all her life was dedicated to the well-being of her children, consistently her “NINE STRONG,” Glory.

We celebrate the beautiful life of our lovely and fierce Queen. Her love for her nine children was her strength beyond what words can describe. In her lifetime, Todne was defined by her devotion to her nine (9) beautiful children: seven (7) boys and two (2) girls. She loved spending the majority of her time with them only! Aw, let’s not forget about her CHICKEN TACOS they requested often.

She took her final bow–unafraid and with an open heart–surrounded by them all: family and friends. She was a woman of extraordinary strength, determination, beauty, her own dress
code and just being that girl when she walks into any room. THIS is why the name “Cookie” was given to her by our family. She was always–unyielding, bold, loving, funny, kind, silly, a shopaholic
with her mother only, loves music while she rocks to it, loyal, and her children’s SUPERWOMAN.

Todne was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth (Ike) Coleman; grandfather, Van Williams; and grandmother, Canary Williams.

Todne is survived by her children: Lamel, Kennedy, Kendric, Terrece, Isley, Yssis, Elijah, Kam’ron, and Jacob; eighteen (18) grandchildren, one (1) great-grandchild; parents, Johnnie Miller
and George Alexander; siblings: brother, Renwick Williams, and sister, Tamara Edgerson; nieces: Deashia, Destani and Johnna; nephews: Renwick Jr., Joey, Jy, Jyren, and Christian; a host of
aunts and uncles, great-nieces and nephews; first cousins; and a large extended family.

Special friends of the family include her significant other, William Smith, and best friend, Corie Moore.
