Tony Johnson

Tony Dashawn Johnson “Tugg” was born on March 2, 1998, in Columbus Ohio to Yolanda Hester and Anthony Johnson. On August 19, 2021, at the age of 23 Tony was called home unexpectedly to be with the Lord.

Tony who was also known as “Tugg” attended Franklin Heights High School where he received his high school diploma in 2016. He enjoyed being a father to his two daughters. He loved playing football and basketball. Tony was also known for his sense of humor and making others laugh.

Tony was welcomed home by his aunt, Christina Jones; grandmother, Etta Williams-Johnson; great grandmother, Clara Johnson; great great grandmother, Idella Tarrant; cousin, Delvonna Carter; special friends, Joshua Lucas, Jordan Pack, and Quincy Story.

Tony leaves to cherish his memories and to carry on his legacy two children; Sophia and Toni Johnson, ages six and four, and the love of his life, Lourdes Dalton.

Also cherishing Tony’s memory are his three siblings, Tavon Hester, Travon (Kali) Hester, Taionna Johnson, and his parents, Yolanda Hester and Anthony Johnson; grandmother, Lawanna Hester; great grandmother, Anna Bell Malone; grandfather, Arthur Anderson, Danielle and Kendrick Price; uncles, Clarence Hester, Laquise, Laqayshen, and Taylon Johnson; aunt, Tyla Johnson; great aunt, Pastor Neicey Johnson; aunt, Jamie Perkins; nieces and nephews, Tae’vion, Kyrin and Kariah Hester; best friends, Davon Moore, Levor Reid, Darren Gammell; special cousins, Emanuel Braxton, Daylon, Dayisha, and Iran Jones and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

With a person like Tony “Tugg,” there were many he loved and many that loved and supported him too. Unfortunately, we cannot list them all. Just remember, we love and appreciate you all. Tugg will be missed by a host of family and friends.
