Treva Jackson Obituary

Treva Lashun Jackson was born March 1, 1969 to the proud parents of Velma Runnels and Virgil Jackson at USC Hospital in Southern California. On January 15, 2022, Treva Jackson a loving mother of 8 children and 17 grandchildren passed away at the age of 52. Treva attended Duarte High school in Duarte California. She was an inspiring writer. She was recognized locally through a newspaper article she wrote growing up. Treva was known for her quick wit, her infectious smile, and her kind and compassionate spirit. Treva had a very special relationship with her Grandmother Jackson and Aunt Elmira. They nurtured her and taught her family values which made her never miss a family event. She moved to Columbus, Ohio with 3 children in 1989 to be closer to her mom and get a fresh start on life. Growing up in church, Treva dedicated her life to the Lord at a young age and grew up a prolific teacher of the word of God. Treva use to come home from church and imitate the preacher perfectly according to her Aunt Elmira.

Coming from a musical family she became a lover of music. Although she didn’t “sing” she did not let that stop her from singing, listening and rocking to her favorite tunes and when the music stopped the rocking continued. Treva believe in letting the natural light shine through her world. She would get up every morning and open up all the blinds in the house signifying her gratitude of seeing another day.

Treva was family orientated and her favorite holiday was Thanksgiving. She was most proud of her children and siblings. She was always promoting, marketing, and upselling everyone on the achievement of each and every person. Treva was involved in her community. Everyone knew Treva Jackson because she would transport, feed, shelter and protect anyone that needed rescue from a difficult time in their life. She had the biggest heart any man will ever know in the natural world. She was truly the Queen of the South.
