Tyshawn Antonio Dickerson, Jr., was born on May 2, 2006, to Tyshawn Dickerson, Sr., and Dawnetta Taylor. Tyshawn departed this earthly life unexpectedly on December 31, 2021.
Tyshawn “Ty” attended Walnut Ridge, where he aspired to graduate class of 2024. Tyshawn played football for the Columbus Red Devils and Basketball for Marion Franklin Recreation Center. He won many awards throughout his young life.
Tyshawn loved to chill and write rhymes. He also loved to spend time with family and friends. He was so full of energy and life. Ty clowned and joked around all the time (If you knew Ty well, you knew how he loved to clown ‘til he got on your last nerve sometimes). Ty had an infectious laugh with a big personality that captured many hearts.
Tyshawn was preceded in death by his grandmother, Rosita Taylor Mcafee; great-grandparents, Gloria and Hayward Taylor, Charles (Hattie) Dickerson, and Joyce Bowls; uncles, Hayward Taylor and Terrance Dickerson; and great- aunt, Wanda Dickerson.
Tyshawn is survived by: his loving parents, Tyshawn Dickerson and Dawnetta Taylor; sisters, Aniyah Taylor and Shada Dickerson; grandparents, Charlotte (John) Williams, William Bowles, and Jeffery Mcafee; special aunt, Shanta (Shannon) Carolina, Sequoia and Shada Dickerson, and Deala Johnson; uncles, Kevin, William, Denzell, and Bill Dickerson, Raleigh Taylor, Jeff Johnson, and Walter Mcafee; special cousin, Miracle Carolina; godmom, Katrinka Richardson; godbrother, Kire Thompson; and a host of great-aunts, great- uncles, cousins, and friends.
