Never thought this day would come this soon. Vickie Dorese Thomas was born on July 19, 1955. She departed this earthly life on February 20, 2024. She loved movies, jewelry, and staying to herself a true homebody. She was a beautiful soul who made the whole room shine beyond measure. She was a great mother and grandmother who went above and beyond for her kids and grandkids. She always told us, “Cherish your family ‘cause one day they might not be here.” Her last wish was to get the family back together again how it used to be. She loved her bears and knicknacks; she said they made her happy. She always wanted to travel and get a rope tattoo around her arm. She would always say, “You’re as young as you feel!” Although she’s no longer with us she will be carried on through our memories. We will carry her with us forever and always.
Sometimes I wish you could come back, but I don’t want you to suffer again. I know you are with me and I will always love and miss you with all my heart. Until we meet again!
She was preceded in death by her mother, Geraldine Smalls; father, Victor Thomas; sisters, Bertha Westmoreland and Tina Martin; brothers, Charles Booth and Elrecco Thomas, Sr.; grandson, Sinnea Thomas, Jr.; and daughter-in-law, Tamieka Ross.
Left to cherish her memories are her sister, Claire Ann Coleman; children, Sinnea Thomas, Sr., Tishamina Thomas, Atiya Thomas, and Terri Skaggs; bonus daughter/granddaughter, Myisha Thomas; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
