Victoria Seward

Victoria Lynn Seward, age 60 went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 after a courageous battle against cancer.  Victoria, affectionately known as “Vikki”, was born in Columbus, Ohio on October 4, 1960 to Minnie Boyd and Neil Seward, loved by Bonus-mother Betty Seward and Bonus-father, Allen R. Boyd, Jr.

Vikki was a faithful member of Family Missionary Baptist Church where Pastor Frederick V. LaMarr presides. Vikki was a devoted mother and homemaker.  She was a long time employee of JCPenney and Papa John’s Pizza.  She enjoyed spending time with her daughters and going on shopping trips, working puzzles, watching any and all sports on T.V., coloring pictures were other favorite hobbies of Vikki’s.  Anything that involved laughter, spending time with family and friends, especially her daughters and grandchildren was a true delight to Vikki.

Victoria gave her life to Christ at an early age.  She thoroughly enjoyed being a longstanding member of Family Missionary Baptist Church, where she served on the Missionary Society and helped with the church feeding program. She has always held “her pastor” in such high esteem and admired him dearly. Vikki’s favorite inspirational scripture was “No weapon formed against me shall prosper…..” (Isaiah 54:17) is what she lived by and posted often on her Facebook Page.

Vikki attended East High School in Columbus, Ohio.  She had many special friendships that she cherished through the years, including Sylvia Ford, Carletta Anderson, Shanessa “Momma” Lunsford, Cynthia “Teenie” Carpenter, Linda Montgomery and her best friend who was also her sister, Robyn Brown. The two partners in crime spent a great amount of time creating havoc around town. 

Victoria has been welcomed home by those who preceded her in death by her parents, Neil Seward, Minnie Boyd; grandmother, Melverine Blassengale ; sister, Yolonda Anderson and nephew Michael Hogan, Jr.

Vikki is survived by her daughters, Seneca Seward, Tiara Seward, Whitney Seward, Sha’Llonda Seward and Jone’ Smoot; siblings, Robyn Brown, Sharon Chukes, Angela Boyd, Ebony Hale (Tracy), Terry O’Neal, and Ericka Mullins (Allen) and sister/niece Jermeki (Robert) Knox; grandchildren, Da”Oniqa Seward, Da”On Seward, Da”Zhon Seward, Rickey Summers, Kharym Summers, Taron Seward-Armstrong, Trinity McGinnis, Iyonna Smith, Shaunia Prater, Jamie Johnson, Jamier Johnson, Ja’Layah Johnson, Da’Miyah Smoot, Da’Khari Smoot, Tyrel Radcliff Jr.
