Virginia Stephens was born in Salisbury, MD to Alice Henry on February 5, 1926. Virginia passed into the loving arms of Jesus on December 11, 2021.
Virginia was a devoted mother to Carole Phillips, Clarence D. Stephens Jr, and Alicia (Debbie) Brothers. She was also a loving Nana to grandchildren, Clarence Stephens III, Kevin Stephens, Lisa Lucas, Kelley Dodley, Gibran Tatum, Kiara Holloway, as well as 20 great grandchildren and 15 great-great-grand children.
Virginia’s greatest joys in life were God, family, and fashion. She was a faithful member of Mt. Vernon AME for over 35 years, serving on several boards including the missionaries. She loved to spend time with family, often dining in at her favorite restaurants with loved ones or traveling with her children. Virginia was known for her sweet, gentle nature and classy style. She was always dressed in stylish outfits, and adorned in the most beautiful jewelry. Most of all Virginia just enjoyed life, and lived a long, fulfilling one. She had many great values and morals that she instilled in her family that will continue to be passed down through the generations.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence D. Stephens Sr, and mother, Alice Henry.
