WEYMOUTH L. SANDERS was a loving father, husband, brother, son, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend to many. He was a God-fearing, fun-loving man whose heart and spirit touched everyone who knew him. He was a person who never missed a chance to share a laugh or a song. Weymouth L. Sanders lived a life led with faith, love, and music. His relationship with God was the foundation of everything he did. Whether he was leading his family in prayer, helping a neighbor in need, or simply spreading joy with his favorite tunes, his life was a true reaction of his deep faith and generous heart.
Weymouth L. Sanders was well known all around the city of Columbus for his musical talents and ministerial work. Any instrument you can name, guaranteed he can play it. “Big Wayne,” “Weymie,” “Big Dawg,” and “Daddy” will be greatly missed by all who knew him. His heart, love, and talents will never be forgotten.

Sanders and the late Willie Plas Sanders in Columbus, Ohio. He is survived by his lovely wife of 20 years, Jane Sanders; children, Onyinyechi, Weymouth C., Ijeoma, and Chidera Sanders;
siblings, Andrea Rivers, Willie Plas Sanders, Jr. (Le’Nisse), and Auja Sanders-Carruthers (Will); nephews, Ka’teeb Rivers and Cedric Sanders; nieces, Ka’Maya Rivers, Ciera Sanders, and Carita Sanders; he is also survived by his mother and father-in-law, Kate and Raymond Akpalaba; siblings-in-law, Stella, Mary, Sandra, Rachel, Victor, and Emmanuel Akpalaba; and a multitude of other loving family and friends.
