William Henry Bolding, Jr., known as Jr., was born on May 19, 1947, in Columbus, Ohio, to William H. Bolding, Sr., and Themla Hunter. He received his formal education through the Columbus Public School System. Jr., worked as a bounty hunter and bondsman. He also took on side assignments as a security guard, traveling with numerous famous artists, such as Aretha Franklin, Rudy Ray Moore, and Frankie Beverly Maze, etc. He moved on to construction work until retirement.
In 1976, he joined hands with Christine Norris from Zanesville, Ohio. They settled in Columbus with their two daughters. During the course of their marriage, Jr., and Christine welcomed three nieces into their home to raise. After the passing of his wife in 2018, Jr., took sick for three-and-a-half years before the Lord called him home. Jr., was a faithful member of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of Pastor Keith Wyatt, Sr.
Preceded in death by: parents, William Sr., and Thelma Hunter; wife, Christine Bolding; great-granddaughter, Olivia Elaine Parsley; sister, Loretta Cabiness; brothers, J.D. and J.W. Bolding; brother-in-law, Ernest Hayden; stepmother, Bernice Douglas; stepsisters, Betsy Stevens and Bertha Campbell; and stepbrother, Arthur Mathews. Jr., leaves behind to cherish his memories and carry on his legacy: daughters, Satonya Cobb and LaChelle (Robert) Adams; nieces, Kayla Norris, Krista (Alanzo) Palmer, and Courtney Norris; sisters, Bessie Harris, Mary Hayden, Phyllis Sims, and Henritta Hill-Murray; sister-in-law, Arlene (Bolding) Vinson; five grandchildren; ten great-grand-children; six step-grandchildren; four step-great-grand-children; and a slew of nieces, nephews, and greats.
