William Richardson, a beloved father, son, brother, and friend, passed away on September 8, 2024 at the age of 43. He leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and inspiration that touched the lives of all who knew him.  Born on March 17, 1982. William Richardson as known as “Scrape” was a devoted father to his two cherished sons, who were the pride and joy of his life. He had a unique ability to connect with people of all ages, especially children, despite his large stature. His warmth and kindness instantly made people feel seen and loved.

William had a deep and special relationship with his mother, whom he adored, and always credited his late father for teaching him the values that shaped him into the man he became. His father's lessons in independence and hard work were cornerstones of William’s life.  A talented lyricist, William had a way with words that allowed him to express himself creatively and powerfully. His gift for communication extended beyond music; he was known for his genuine and lasting friendships. If William considered you a friend, it was a bond you could trust for life.

In recent years, William underwent a remarkable personal transformation. He shifted from a man fighting to survive to a man determined to live a healthier and more fulfilling life. His journey of self-improvement inspired countless others to make positive changes in their own lives.  William will be deeply missed by his family, friends, co-workers, and all those who were fortunate enough to know him. His memory will live on in the hearts of everyone he touched with his warmth, his wisdom, and his unshakable loyalty.

William is survived by his mother; Doshia Richardson, three sons; Christopher, William Power and Prince Isaiah; and his siblings, Shereda Cain (Calvin Green) Velma Cain (Chris Trent) Wesley Richardson (Tana Hall) Isaiah Richardson (Crystal Richardson), Kimyada Richardson, Dedrick Richardson and Charles Richardson (Christie Richardson) Aunts and Uncles; Marlene Fenderson, Dorthy Richardson, Norma Richardson, Roosevelt Richardson, Theodore and Jackie Richardson, Luma Richardson. With a host of nieces, nephews.  His loving  cousins; Julia Tucker and Tucker/Treadwells, Fendersons, Richardsons, Toles and Ellisons.

William is now reunited with his late father, Wesley Ellison, whom he always honored and admired. His great-grandparents; Doshia and Clayborn Adams. Grandparents; Elizabeth and Roosevelt Richardson. Great Aunts and Uncles; James Richardson, William Richardson, Darlene Richardson, Julia Richardson and Shirley Walker.  Special Friends:  Nigel, Robbie, Coop, Mimi

William’s life was one of love, strength, and connection. He will be remembered always, and his spirit will continue to inspire those who knew him.

William Richardson was a remarkable individual who deeply impacted the lives of those around him. He was a devoted son, father, brother, co-worker, and friend, known for his genuine and heartfelt connections. His two boys were the light of his life, and despite his large stature, he had a unique ability to connect with children, always showing love and care for everyone he met.

William had a special bond with his mother, whom he adored, and often credited his late father for shaping him into the man he became. He was not only a man of great character but also a talented lyricist, with a natural gift for words. His father instilled in him the importance of working for himself and following his own path.

One of William's most admirable qualities was his loyalty. If he chose you as a friend, it was a lifelong bond that you could always count on. Over time, those close to him witnessed a profound transformation. He evolved from a man fighting for survival to a man determined to stay healthy, embracing a better lifestyle that inspired and motivated others to do the same. William's journey was one of growth, love, and inspiration, leaving an indelible mark on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
