William Smith

William Oliver Smith was born May 3, 1962, to Priscilla “Sissy” Ann and Linwood Smith Sr.  He departed this life Saturday October 17, 2020.

A 1980 graduate of East High School. He attended Wilberforce University. After Wilberforce he began working in social work and childcare. He later went on to care for his mother and sister until his untimely passing. He was a devoted member of United Faith Community Church from its start in 2003. William enjoyed spending time with his family and friends as well as serving the Lord. He also enjoyed playing softball, tennis and was a Cincinnati Bengals fan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Brother Linwood Smith Jr, grandparents William and Dora Cooper, and fiancé Ester Starks. Aunts Wildonna Holloway and Ruth Blake. Left to cherish his memories, sisters Lillian (Colvin) Lemley and Mary (Jerry) Broadus. Brothers Shannon (Carla) Smith and Price (Alicia) Smith and Kevin Smith. Aunts Sara (Cliff) Arline and Rose Marshall. Uncle Shannon Cooper. While William did not have his own children, he was blessed with a host of nieces and nephews that were like his own.
