In Loving Memory of Yvonne Marie Edman (Pat) Sunrise: February 20, 1950 Sunset: April 25,2026
Yvonne Marie Edman, lovingly known as Pat, graced this world on February 20, 1950, in Kingston, Jamaica. She began her early education at Dunrobin Preparatory School, where her brilliance,
determination, and gentle spirit first took root. In 1968, she journeyed to the United States with her family, carrying with her the rich culture, resilience, and spiritual grounding of her island home.
Upon arriving in America, Yvonne attended business school and soon began her professional path with a local gas company. Her journey later led her to Queens, New York, where she married Edney Edman in 1973, beginning a new chapter rooted in love, partnership, and faith.
Yvonne’s career blossomed at Bank Ohio before she joined Franklinton, a data processing company. Her dedication, excellence, and natural leadership quickly elevated her to supervisor and manager within Data Entry Processing Services (DEPS). To her team—affectionately known as “the Depsters”—she was far more than a manager. She was a mother figure, a counselor, and a prayer warrior. Her presence brought comfort, her words brought wisdom, and her faith brought strength to all who worked beside her.
A woman deeply anchored in her relationship with God; Yvonne lived her faith boldly and generously. For many years, she served faithfully at World Harvest Church, where she volunteered in outreach ministries and helped feed the homeless. Her heart for services was unwavering-whenever she heard of a family in need or a celebration taking place, she would prepare Jamaican and Chinese dishes as expressions of love, comfort, and community.
In her later years, Yvonne became a devoted member of Equip U Ministries, where she continued to pour into others through prayer, encouragement, and spiritual support. Her presence in the church was one of warmth, wisdom, and steadfast faith. She remained a woman who uplifted others, who prayed without ceasing, and who carried God’s love wherever she went.
Yvonne later brought her commitment to service into the healthcare field, retiring from Riverside Methodist Hospital as a credentialing specialist. Her work was marked by integrity, compassion, and a deep respect for the people she served.
Above all, Yvonne was a woman of grace, strength, and unwavering faith. She carried herself with dignity, spoke with kindness, and loved with a fullness that touched every life she encountered.
She leaves behind her beloved daughter, Nicole, and her cherished sister, Valerie (June), along with a host of family, friends, and all who were blessed to know her.
Her light continues to shine. Her prayers continue to cover. Her legacy continues to live.
